SMALL PLANET GARDENS

I love hardy hen and chicks!  They grow in front of my wife’s shop and withstand the trampling of careless feet and survive in a cloud of traffic smog that kills most other plants.

Cleaveland Pear trees have a more uniform and columnar shape than Bradford Pears, and, in my opinion, more beautiful blossoms.  

The truck is full of trees!  I love spring cleanup and planting season!

Serviceberry trees in full bloom!  Their floating petals are some of the only “snow” we’ve had all year…

A bit ‘o green for you on this bonny morn!  Our climbing hydrangea is leafing out…hope the luck ‘o our garden follows you through your St Patrick’s adventures this weekend!

My wife really wants chickens, but I don’t want chicken poop.  Although, this arch coop is really, really nice…

We just planted some serviceberry trees in the courtyard!  Lots of pictures are sure to follow because this tree is so amazing…beautiful spring flowers, blueberry-like edible fruit, and brilliant red fall color!

I lost my wife and daughter at the grocers last night, and discovered them in the floral department, blissfully smelling hyacinth.  Ahhhh, spring!
